Honeymoon Resorts |
| News |
 |
|
Now it's time to pick the wonderful hotel where you will spend those romantic evenings and relaxing mornings. It may seem like there are too many to choose from and at the same time, you can't seem to find the one hotel that has everything you want. This process can seem overwhelming. If you don't have the time to research a lot of hotels, consider going straight to a travel agent with your criteria. They can give you great options that fit your description and budget. If you want to do the research yourself or in conjunction with a travel agent, look closely at the reviews and ratings of the hotels and less at the photos! Photos are great but can be deceiving.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
1. Do you fancy a luxury resort, a small bed and breakfast, a moderately priced hotel?
2. Do you need lots of amenities on location or can you cut corners and live with the bare essentials?
3. How much can you spend per night?
4. Are all inclusives appealing to you?
Tip: Be realistic, if you want luxury, fine dining, tons of amenities, a honeymoon suite and the best location, but you only have $200 a day to spend, you won't find it, even in some of the most affordable locations. A certain luxury and quality of hotel does come with a higher price tag, so weigh the importance of your hotel preferences.
Find your perfect honeymoon resort here.

Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa Maldives to Feature Nature Trails |
| Resort News |
 |
|
Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives is gearing up to open on the picturesque Addu Atoll during the fourth quarter of 2008. The resort will be one of the first in the Maldives to offer nature trails and weekly guided nature tours for guests provided by a resident expert. Unlike many resorts in the archipelago, Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives features a varied and natural landscape with 12 hectares of lush foliage, lagoons and native bird life.
The three-kilometre-long island offers guests the expected pristine sandy beaches and clear waters, but being surrounded by towering ancient Banyan trees and nature trails adds a different experience for seasoned travellers to the Maldives. The landscape of Villingili is dominated by 17,000 coconut trees and 45 plant species, including the noni plant, which is believed to be useful for the treatment of ailments such as arthritis and hypertension.

The Maldives |
| Romance, exotic locales, snorkeling, diving, even over-water designer villas |
| Article |
 |
|
How many times can you say, "It's so beautiful"? How about 1,197, once for each island in the Maldives? Flying in over some of the palm-fringed specks that make up the 26 atolls, it is as if precious stones in every shade of blue were tossed from the heavens. Coral formations encircle lagoons in this 85-mile-wide, 475-mile-long swath of atolls south of India, about 300 miles southwest of Sri Lanka.
The Maldives quickly melt away malaise, delivering an extraordinary vacation for honeymooners, romantics, luxe travelers, spa connoisseurs, families and, especially, divers. "Our first [dive] trip here we likened to golf at Pebble Beach," says Kristin Cancilla of Colorado.

| South Asian Cup: Maldives Too Good For Pakistan |

| Sport News |
| |
|
It was a comfortable win for the island nation who move into second in Group A behind holders India who thrashed Nepal 4-0.
After much pressure from the hosts, Mohamed Shifan broke the deadlock just before the break by firing home from close range.
Just after the restart, the game was almost over as a contest when star striker Ahmed Thoriq headed home.
With time running out it got worse for Pakistan as Naveed Akram headed into his own net.
